Every year, the Smokehouse Grill caters more than 250 events, ranging from 25 to 3000 guests at once. From corporate events to weddings and graduation parties, we make life’s biggest days unforgettable and delicious. With so many beautiful events, it’s difficult to pick our favorite. A beautiful day planned at one of the best wedding venues in Maryland for the Schaffle wedding reminds us why we do what we do, inspiring us to make each event better than the last. Geneva’s stunning lace dress was an absolute showstopper -- completing the goal that every bride sets out to accomplish on her wedding day. The close-fit of the dress complemented her petite frame while not feeling overdone. Finishing off her look with a curled half-updo, simple jewelry, and natural makeup, Geneva’s natural beauty shined through during every moment of the big day.
For a dramatic and flowy look that brought effortless beauty and depth to the day, Geneve chose these beautiful burgundy gowns for her bridal party. Dresses varied ever so slightly in style to fit the style and body type of each bridesmaid. These flowing dresses were a hit from the aisle to the dancefloor and complemented Geneva’s all-over lace gown beautifully.
The Schaffles chose to complement the rich burgundy dresses with classic tan suits for the groomsmen. Tying in the warm red tones with maroon ties, the wedding party had a beautifully cohesive look that was perfect for the waterfront venue. However, the couple decided that the groom would wear a navy suit to stand out from the bunch, creating a beautiful color scheme for the entire party. They topped off the look with fun socks on the groomsmen to add a little personality to the dressed-up attire.
Thanks to wedding photographer Kimberly Florence, the Schaffles have a collection of photographs that accentuate the understated beauty and unhinged fun of their wedding celebration. Kimberly captured stunning photos of both families and the wedding party, following the couple through the evening to capture every endearing glance and loving moment of laughter shared by guests. In the end, the result was a collection of stunning photographs in full color and black & white that the couple is sure to treasure for years to come.
Catered by the Smokehouse Grill, guests enjoyed a buffet-style selection of delicious appetizers, locally-sourced vegetables and meats, and a selection of fresh side dishes. The Smokehouse Grill served a hot meal to all 175 guests efficiently and with astounding above and beyond service. Both delicious and affordable, the Schaffles were able to please their guests with an unbelievable meal without breaking the bank on their stunning wedding day.
The Schaffles adorned their wedding reception with simple, earthy decor that highlighted the elegance of their event. Combining branches of eucalyptus with vintage candlesticks atop draping white linens, Geneva & Benjamin created an effortless, airy look that looks great both indoors and out. They topped the table with colored drinkware for another touch of whimsy and surprising beauty.
While celebrating and dancing the night away, the Schaffles and their guests capped off the evening with a beautiful layered wedding cake topped with a cursive ‘Schaffle’ cake topper. As an elegant alternative the traditional bride and groom figurines, this cake topper helped create a cohesive look for this fun and airy wedding sprinkled with whimsy.
